René Benoît Galifer est né en 1944 à Arles où il commence à dessiner et à peindre au contact de Théo Rigaud

Après 50 ans de séparation pour vivre à Montpellier une autre aventure qui fera de lui un universitaire de chirurgie pédiatrique, il retrouve la peinture comme une ancienne et toujours exigeante maîtresse. Mais elle, elle n’a pas vieilli... et tenter de la reconquérir reste un effort de tous les instants.
